Summer Tree

Today we adopted a tree and will be observing it all year.

We observed what a summer tree looks like.  The scholars used their ipads to take a picture of the tree.

Then back in the classroom we used the picture to create 

a pic collage and label the Summer tree.

After everyone had their project completed we pretended we were in a museum and went around and looked at everyones picture.  

Counselor Visit

Mrs. Martinez, our counselor came to visit the scholars today for our first Counselor lesson.  She talked to them about listening and paying attention, thus why she is wearing the rabbit ears and big glasses.  

Zero the Hero

Today is the tenth (10) day of school.  

Zero the Hero came to visit us.

We celebrated the Zero in 10.

 We counted using Fruit Loops, because they look like a zero.

NEU PEP RALLY

Today was our first NEW Pep Rally.

We had several scholars who wore purple and gold.

Even some scholars who wore LSU shirts.

Then we went to the Pep Rally.

Go Tigers!   L-S-U!   L-S-U.

They are finally here!

Every day the scholars ask "When are we getting our ipads".  Then today they finally came.  The scholars were so excited.  

Here they all are waiting to get their hands on them.

B-L-U-E Day

B-L-U-E spells Blue.

Today is blue day.

The kids sang the BLUE song, found BLUE words, brainstormed things that are BLUE  and wrote a Blue Sentence.
