Planting Pumpkins

A few weeks back when we investigated the inside of a pumpkin we saved the seeds.

We took the pumpkin seeds and planted them in cups in the classroom.

Our pumpkin seeds grew into very healthy pumpkin plants.

Today we took the plants outside to the garden and planted them in the Kindergarten box.

Thanksgiving Literacy

This week we read the book Turkey Trouble.  It is an adorable book that the turkey main character comes up with different disguises so the farmer can not find him.  In the end the farmer and his wife order pizza for Thanksgiving Dinner.

So we decided to save a turkey.

Subtrction Fun

We had a blast this week using our dice app to subtract from 10.

50th Day of School

Today is the 50th Day of School.  We came to school in 5o's clothes.

The scholars entered the room to Twist and Shout playing and we did the twist.  They thought I was crazy but they loved it.

Then during math Zero the Hero came and 

brought us zero shaped glow sticks.

We had a blast learning about the zero's 

position in the number 50.

Literacy Stations

We do Literacy Stations every day.

Here the scholars are stamping and learning 

letters and letter sounds.

Print Match

We are making a Fall Book.  They have to print match to the words with the pictures.    I love watching them do this.

Reading to Self

I love watching them read to self, I just had to take a picture.  

They are so adorable.
