If I lived in a Snow Globe

This week we read a really great book called 

The Snow Globe Family.

It is about the family that lives in a snow globe 

and the family that owns the Snow Globe.

We wrote about what we would do if we lived in a Snow Globe.

We painted a snow picture with a photo of us.

 Then we made it into a Snow Globe.

 They turned out adorable.

New Math Game

We learned a new game today called, Slide 100.

It is an awesome game to work on Number Sense.

80th Day of School

Today was the 80th Day of School.

Zero the Hero came to visit us.

The scholars make learning and teaching so much fun.  You should see them play along with me when I walk in dressed like Zero the Hero and when I leave and come back in as my self.  

They are hilarious.

 I always bring them a "zero" shaped snack and today it was a cookie shaped like a zero.

Free Choice

Our Kindergarten Day is very full working 

to get all the curriculum taught.

However, I am a big believer in Free Choice Time.

I think it is important for so many reasons like interacting with friends, learning to play with and work with others, decision making, cleaning up after yourself and these reasons are only a few.

Most days there is only enough time for 15 minutes of Free Choice.

I love to just sit back and watch them play, so I thought you might enjoy seeing some candid shots.

Happy New Year!

We celebrated 2016 by writing a goal for the new year.

We want to learn to ride a bike without training wheels.

We want to help our Mom and Dad around the house.

We want to learn to swim.
