How to Carve a Pumpkin

Today we carved a pumpkin with all of our Kindergarten friends.

This week the scholars will make their first attempt at writing a procedural text, "How to Carve a Pumpkin".

 

Heat Energy

Today in science we did a lesson on Heat Energy.

We started with whole chocolate chips in a bag and used the heat from our hands to melt them.

Some of us thought it was a waste of a perfectly good chocolate chips until I pulled out extra chocolate chips to give them.

Football Player

CHHS Football Player, Thomas came and read a book to our class.

The scholars loved it.

Monster Week

Monster Week was a blast!

We read monster books and poems, print matched using monster sentences, worked on our color words with color monsters, made a monster and did a sentence cut up.

FUN - FUN - FUN!

Fun Run

We had an absolute blast at the Bear Creek Fun Run today.

The scholars ran 35 laps while their 

parents came and cheered them on. 

Our class raised the second highest amount for the school at $74.00 per lap.  We earned all kids of prizes and fun in the classroom like extra recess, no homework, movie and popcorn and show and tell.

Good Job Guys! Yall are the best!

B-L-A-C-K Spells Black

Today was black day.  Students wore black clothes, we read poems about black, sang the Black song, circled the black word, colored black pictures and made a black class book.

We had a blast!
