Fun Run Day

The Fun Run was a blast.

They had an opportunity to work together and achieve a 

goal that will benefit our whole school.

The Fun Run People were amazing.

They taught our students life skills that

teaches the scholars that they can make a difference.

Zero the Hero

Today is the 20th Day of School and Zero the Hero is back.

This is such corny teaching but these sweet scholars love it.

They are beginning to understand the "0" zeros position in the

number line. #numbersenseatitsbest

Solar Bugs

Today we used solar bugs to experience the energy of the sun.

The scholars were very engaged with the these solar bugs and discovered that it was the energy from the sun that caused their movement.  

 The bugs totally stopped moving when we 

covered them with a shadow.

Just Right

Today we discovered the importance of finding a book that is a good fit is just like finding a shoe that is a good fit.

We will be working on reading books 

that are a good fit for each of us. 

Boosterthon Fun Run

As of Friday afternoon our class has earned Extra Class Free Time, Extra Recess, Shoes off Day, Bring a Stuffed Animal, Show and Tell Day, Dance Party and Lunch in the Classroom because of the number of pledges we have received.

4th Grade Buddies

Today Mrs. Bailey's 4th Grade Class came and 

helped us download some apps onto our ipads.

I loved watching them with their buddy.

ABC Magnetic Letters

Here is an awesome example of Kindergarten Learning using ipads.

We are using the ABC Magnetic Letters app.

The students follow my clues and make words using magnetic letters on their ipads.

It is very engaging and allows students to manipulate 

letters and sounds.
