Pumpkin Investigation

This was a week long Pumpkin Investigation.

First we explored the outside of the pumpkin.

We described how it looked, felt, smelled and counted its lines.

Then we opened the pumpkin up and investigated the inside

We felt, looked, smelled and discovered.

 Then we took all the seeds out, washed them and counted them.

 We counted them into groups of 10.

 Then we roasted and tasted pumpkin seeds.

 Then finally we planted some pumpkin seeds.

We had a busy but fun week investigating a pumpkin.

Reading in Kindergarten

Here are three ways we read in Kindergarten.

We read with an app called Raz Kids.  The scholars 

can listen to the book, read and record their reading, 

and answer comprehension questions.

We read emergent readers that we make from our browsing box.

And we read literature that we enjoy from

our classroom library.

We love reading.

40th Day of School

Today is the 40th Day of School.

We dressed like Superheros to join Zero the Hero in the Celebration

 We counted to 40.

 Zero the Hero joined us and brought us a zero treat.

Dinosaur George

Our scholars had a great time at the Dinosaur George Traveling Museum.  Thank you PTA for giving them this experience.
