Clean Frog

You have not lived until you clean out a

frog cage with 22 Kindergarteners.

Everyone wanted to help.

I tried to give everyone a job and

we only got a little bit of water on the floor.

 

 Kermit now has a clean and fresh habitat.

Isn't he so cute.

So Funny!

This is a cute and funny story.

Our bathroom was out of paper towels so I called the office to get some sent to the classroom.

Raul, our custodian came in to bring the paper towels.

I was reading the students journals.

I took the paper towels from him and left my post of checking journals and went to put it in the bathroom.

I came out and Raul was reading all their journals and telling them how good they were.

It was so adorable.

Yuck the Science Man

Yuck the Science Guy came to our school today.

It was very yucky and messy.

We learned about volume, measurement, gases,

air and had a lot of fun.

 

 Gracyn was picked to be in one of the experiments.

Dental Health

Dr. Schroder came to talk to our students today about Dental Health.  It was very informative and entertaining. 

The students enjoyed it.

Skyping with Mrs. Doughney's Class

Today we skyped with Mrs. Doughney's class.  The kids loved that they were in their class talking with students in another class.  We played connect four and Guess my farm animal.  It was a blast!

Now I am going to find us a class at another school to Skype with. 

 

Jumprope for Heart

Today was jump rope for heart.

The kids had a blast.  They love listening to all the music

Mrs. Lucas picks out for them.

Our school raised more than $6,000 for this great cause.

 

 



Creating with ipads

I put them in groups, told them to create using the

number 11, 12, 13 and 14.  They had a blast.  They used Doodle Buddy and PicCollage and created sets of numbers.  They are creating their thoughts, taking a screen shot and then importing into pic collage.  AMAZING, I KNOW!  Love it.

Bubble Painting

We had a blast with bubble painting.

The students blew into the soapy water.  Then we put paper on top of the bubbles and painted with bubbles.  So Fun!!!

101 Day of School

Today is the 101 Day of School.

I can not think of 10l and not think about Dalmatians.

So when the children arrived I was dressed like a Dalmatian.  They loved it. We quickly dressed them with Dalmatian ears.  We read the book 101 Dalmatians.

100th Day of School

We had a slow start this morning. 

There was a late opening for bad weather. 

We did not let this keep us from having a great 100th Day.

 

 

 

We are 100 Days Smarter.

3D Shapes

In math we are learning about 3D Shapes,

sphere, cone, cube and cylinder.

They loved the large blow up shapes.

 

 We got into groups and discussed what the characteristics of each shape are and where we see this shape.

 

Then each group shared their information

and we created this anchor chart.
