Two New Babies

We had two baby sisters born in our class this weekend.

Kollin has a new baby sister named, Rowan Nicole.

Paxton has a new baby sister named, Laurel Mae.

Community Helpers

Here the scholar's are doing research about 

different Community Helpers.

We use Pebble Go eBooks.  They listen to the 

story being read to them.

Then they write down facts about what the 

Community Helper

does and the tools they use.

After finding their facts, they used an app called 

Chatter Pix and record their facts.

You can see this project when you come for 

Student Led Conferences.

Writing Workshop

Every good story starts with a plan.

This week the scholars learned how to make a plan for their story.

They drew a picture for beginning, middle and end.

 Then they used their plan sheet to write their story.

They get so excited when they get to share their story and it has a beginning, middle and ed.

Around the World at Bear Creek

We had our boarding passes in hand and boarded the airplane for many different countries at Around the World at Bear Creek.  It was a great day to learn about the rich diversity that we have within our school. Parents of our students presented information about their home country.

Movement

As part of our Movement Unit in Science we explored rolling.

We used marbles and paint and made a Roller Ball painting.

We are going to turn them into beautiful hearts for Valentines.  

We Love Reading

These scholars have read to self and ready to buddy time every morning when they are finished with their journal.  You should hear the moans and groans when I say it is time to stop reading.  

They love reading.
