Sorting Rock

The scholars found their perfect rock.

We sorted their rocks by size, color and texture.

It was so much fun watching them have voice in their learning.

Everybody Needs a Rock

Here my dear friend of over 25 years 

Joan Kowalski came to read to my class.

She did a great lesson and read the book Everybody Needs a Rock.

The scholars are going to bring a rock to school tomorrow and she taught them how to find just the perfect rock.

BME ... Beginning Middle End

Learning about Beginning Middle End working in a group.

Here we are sorting pictures into Beginning Middle and End and group sharing with the class.

Natural Resources

Starting our Natural Resources Science Unit outside taking pictures of things we see around our school.

Then back in the classroom we sort our pictures into Natural Mad and Man Made.

Word Families

We learned about the -et family words today.

They made -et words using the magnetic letters app.

Painting

They loved painting this week.

We used their beautiful painting to make our snowman.

Snow Snow and more Snow

 Today we read non-fiction books about Snow.

The students can listen to Snow book on Pebble Go.

It even showed video of snow falling and people skiing.  So cool!

Then we wrote a Poem describing Snow.

Class Shirt

Take 2

Goal is for everyone to wear their Class Shirt on Monday so we can get a picture.  Today we made it to 11.
