Making Applesauce

Today we made homemade Applesauce.  We read 

the recipe, adding ingredients and eating.

Writing Workshop

These scholars are starting to really get into Writing.

They like Journal Writing as well as writing a story in

 Wring Workshop.

Weighting

Today we compared the weight of our apple 

with something heavy and something light.

Mrs. Martinez Comes

Mrs. Martinez, our counselor,  came today 

to speak to us about being Kind.  

She spoke to the scholars about bullies and 

what to do if they feel they are being bullied.

What Type of Apple do you like best?

Today we cut up three different types of apple, 

green, yellow and red.

The Scholars tasted their apple and then we graphed their favorite.

Rhyming Words

Today we collaborated about rhyming words.

We found objects that rhyming, shared them with our partners and

shared our findings with the class.

The Little Red House

Today we introduced our Apple Unit with a 

Story about a little red house, with no windows,

no doors and a star inside.
